Lakeside Homes/North Haven Manor Wheelchair Accessible Bus Project
The Central Northeast Health Foundation and the South and Central Health Foundation are pleased to announce that they will be partnering with service organizations and individuals throughout central Newfoundland to provide a new Wheelchair Accessible Bus for the long term care residents of Lakeside Homes in Gander and the North Haven Manor in Lewisporte.
A new vehicle, which is urgently needed, will cost approximately $100,000 and it is hoped
that the fundraising efforts will be successful before the summer of 2010. The
fundraising campaign is being launched with a generous donation of $1,000 from the
Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Gander.
