Dial-A-Carol Fundraiser to Benefit Babies & Moms

The Independent Order of Odd Fellows Exploits Lodge 2N and Rebekahs of Grand Falls-Windsor will be holding their 30th Annual “Dial-A-Carol” at VOCM Radio on Sunday, December 13th  from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m.

This year “Dial-A-Carol” is raising funds for the South and Central Health Foundation to help purchase a Vital Signs Monitor and a Specialized Nursing Chair for the Maternal Newborn Unit at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre.

Both of these pieces of equipment are quite important to the health of our mothers and newborns. The Vital Signs Monitor is a machine which measures a baby and mom’s heart rate, breathing rate and blood pressure. It provides valuable information to our healthcare professionals. A Nursing Chair will help the new mom find the best position for their newborn to begin breastfeeding and will help create greater success in this experience.

Please support “Dial-A-Carol” in our effort to assist in providing the people in our area with the best possible medical services.

On Sunday, December 13, 2009, please pick up your telephone or fax in your pledge to “Dial-A-Carol”. Tune into 620 VOCM and join us for the program.
